The name of each Gazco gas fire i.e. Evolution relates to the design of the fascia frame / trim. Now as Gazco manufacture a range of different gas fires to go behind each fascia frame / trim, such as hot box fires, convector box fires, VFC convector box fires, open fronted and glass fronted gas fires, including balanced flue and powerflue fires. The fascia frame / trim may alter slightly in design by way of dimensions or a cross bar to cover any convection outlets on the fire. So, although the overall general appearance remains the same it must be appreciated that it is impossible to show images of each and every fire with every exact fascia frame / trim combination. We therefore suggest before purchasing that you contact Gazco for clarification and or visit a local retailer with a display to be sure you are happy with the overall apperance of the fire before proceeding to make any purchase. A powerflue or fanflue is an open fronted gas fire which has an electronically driven fan system mounted on the outside of the wall to expel the flue gases away safely. Although a sound from the fan when in operation is to be expected you may also experience some natural air circulation from the open flue when the fire is not in use which is quite normal. Please note in cases of power failure (power cuts) to your property this fire will not work. The fan electric supply can either be via a 13amp socket or fused switch spur installed by a qualified electrician. NOTE A marble slip with a minimum width of 150mm is recommended around all installations and no combustible material including wallpaper should be less than 150mm from this appliance.
